Do you want to get rich quick?

then get elected to Congress.

How is it that a “government  of the people, by the people and for the people” becomes controlled by a bunch of rich eliteist Republi-Crats?  I used to be a political news junky.  I listened to Rush Limbaugh, Alan Colmes, Mike Gallagher, or whoever the flavor of the day was.  I watched Fox News and CNN.  I read the USA Today, the Wall Street Journal, Investors Business Daily, Newsmax.com, etc.  I loved to follow the D.C. scene.  But I’ve given it up.  I still keep up on current events.  But, quite honestly, I’m sick of the Kennedys, the Bushes,  the Pelosi’s, The Trent Lotts, the Obamas, the Clintons, the Gingriches, the Hasterts, the Bidens and all the other elitist, rich, condescending people who “run” our great country.

They don’t “run” our country.  You do.  We do.  It is the average American that makes this country function, not those spoiled-rotten brats who make laws that you and I have to live with; even though they exempt themselves from many of them.  They live lives of incredible excess on our dollars WITHOUT PRODUCING ANYTHING.  All they do is suck the money out of hard working people and then crow about how wonderful they are.  I have never met a politician who has created a job, let alone hundreds of thousands of them, as they like to claim.  I have meet a lot of business people who have created a lot of jobs.  It is the people of this country that make it work.  We the people.  Furthermore, we the people comprise the highest form of government in this nation.  Those rich, arrogant, pompus money suckers and power hoarders in D.C. (and Harrisburg, for that matter) have forgotten that.

And they are so fake.  Every move and every word is calculated.  I would love for someone to stand up and say what he or she really thinks.  There is no principle anymore.  They don’t stand for anything.  They are not public servants, they are self-servants concerned with money and power.

Shame on you for allowing it to happen.  You just take whatever they say at face value.  You think you’re free, but you’ve allowed the Republi-crats the consistantly and steadily erode your freedoms and eliminate God from our society.  You’re not to blame?  Tell me, then, when was the last time you read the Constitution of the United States of America?  When was the last time you read a real history book?  Do you realize that at one time a person had to profess Jesus as Savior to be a member of the government of the state of Pennsylvania?  Do you realize that the only jurisdiction that the U.S. Gov’t has legally and constitutionally is over Washington D.C. and U.S. territories that are not states?  Do you realize that your money isn’t real?  Do you realize that the primary purpose for the federal government is to provide for common defense?  It is not to educate your children or pay for your healthcare because that is your responsibility as a free person.

You don’t realize it because you are too busy working to pay all those taxes so that the elite can give it to illegal aliens; so that Nancy Pelosi can get a bigger plane to fly non-stop to California and so that Al Gore can get rich, ride around in a fleet of Suburbans, fly in private jets and live in a 20 room mansion with $1200.00 per month electric bills to tell everyone that they are evil for wanting to drive an SUV.  You don’t realize it because you believe everything you hear on CNN or from Katie Couric.

Here’s a book I recommend:  The Creature From Jeckyll Island by G. Edward Griffin.  I don’t know if it’s in print, but you can usually find it on eBay.  It’s a book on the manipulation of money and power.  It is NOT a conspiracy theory book.  When I first read it, I thought that maybe it was.  Then, one day I was in the office of an aquaintance who started an investment broker/dealer, an investment firm and wealth management firm.  He, himself, managed over 500 million dollars for people at the time.  While in his office, I noticed that book on his shelf.  When I asked him how accurate it was, he replied “very!” and then proceeded to show for the next two hours in detail how money and the markets were manipulated.

The moral of the story?  Don’t let CNN and Fox News indoctrinate you.  Take some time to educate yourself.  Instead of watching Katie Couric tonight, why don’t you dig up a copy of the U.S. Constitution and read it?  Find an old history book that tells the truth about the beginning of our country.

Thanks for letting me rant.

Let the flames begin!

If I Said What I Really Thought…

I’ve been teaching a marriage class on Sunday evenings. The last few weeks I have been guiding the class through a discussion on communication. Particularly, the difficulty that people have communicating Biblically in marriage as well as outside of marriage. The bottom line is that much of the dysfunction in family systems is due to a real inability to communicate properly and meaningfully.

We live in a country that cherishes freedom of speech for it is our right. Further, we demand to be heard. It takes a lot of boldness and courage to stand up and speak loudly about issues that one is passionate about. I do not intend to diminish people who have advocated for rather large, meaningful issues such as civil rights, religious liberty, the environment, abortion, etc. But I think that people have a much harder time speaking their minds in a meaningful and graceful manner with those who are most important in their lives and with those people over whom a person holds much influence.

Why?

Because we do not know how to communicate effectively, truthfully and lovingly.

Because we are afraid of those around whom we are required to “walk on eggshells”.

Frankly, sometimes we lack the “guts”.

I am speaking of myself, also.

If I said what I really thought…more than that, if I communicated what God would have me communicate, certain things in my life may be brought into jeopardy.

My comfort. My ability to earn a living. My well-being.

Did you ever notice how people tend to operate churches and para-church ministries based on who will complain?

“We can’t do that because Mrs. So-and-so won’t like it!”

Pastors aren’t allowed to preach on money, sex or … supporting the pastor.

Somebody won’t like it.

If I said what I really thought, I might get in trouble.

I also might make a difference.

In my marriage.

In my church.

In my family.

In my life.

In the lives of others.

Or, things can stay the same.
